Comment

This blog should act as an easier version of group e-mails, in terms of sending photos and all the updates in one fixed place that you can access quickly.

However, this works both ways. If you don't leave messages, and tell me how much you miss me, well I'll think that you don't miss me at all.

So to leave a comment, click underneath a blog entry where it says "_ comments". If you're not registered with blogger.com don't worry, just click "other" and type your name in there. Unfortunately, you have to complete a word verification each time you post. I've included this because spamming is a big problem with blogs, so unless a human types in a comment, it won't be processed.

Finally, if you don't want to leave a comment and, instead, just read others, it's a lot easier and tidier not to click on "comments" but on the "time" to the left of it. it opens them all up directly underneath the respective blog entry.

So, what do you think? Hint hint.

Hi diddly dee...

...A blogger's life for me.

I'm going to try and be creative and dare I say humorous with my writing, especially my titles. If the title comes up a strange colour, it means there's a link underneath it. Click away for something vaguely appropriate to the subject. (I'm a real boy now)

So I'm setting up my blog, and struggling with all this Html business.

What do people think of my banner? I'm thinking maybe add a few things, maybe blur in a temple, some Kanji, something more clever. At the moment Cherry Blossom is suitable (new beginnings, Spring). Let me know.

Welcome to Phil-San In Japan.

This web-log will act as a port of call in a fixed location for me to update you on my experiences and adventures, language lessons, and culture clashes. All through the power of text and image. That's right, this blog is also part phlog.

Although not in Japan yet, it is important to start at the very beginning. It's a very good place to start*. I graduated Summer 2005 from University of Warwick and fancied trying out something wholly different to anything I've experienced. Someone told me that if you're going to have a crappy job, you may as well do it somewhere exciting. I think I've done one better than that and found a decent job too. Teaching English in Japan through NOVA for a year.

Who knows where this may lead, or what I'll learn, or what my life will become.

All I know is that this blog will let you experience it right beside me
