FAST Food? What A Whopper?
About a decade ago, Burger King was losing the Western invasion to the Golden Arches and pulled out of the Japanese market. However, seeing the near-orgasmic excitement and willingness to (still!) line-up for Krispy Kreme, they reopened the first branch this weekend.
The queues are reaching three hours. I really have to reconsider my notion about the Japanese being healthy. And sensible.
This is Daiki Hokotate and Momoka Tanaka, the first customers this time around. Their parents must be so proud.

Burger King today, Blooms tomorrow. Eric
Are they still queuing up for donuts?
Blooms? Quite possibly!
"If you build it, they will come", has never been more true.
And yes, the queue for the doughnuts is still 'Heathrow'-long.
Actually, I was seriously considering bringing Shakeaway over here, and setting up a franchise. I honestly think it would be profitable. Note to self, look into it.
Do you know what Philip, I think that it an absolutely brilliant idea. The Japanese would go crazy for it. DO IT. I am going back to Bournemouth on Wednesday. Do you want me to pop into Shakeaway and make an enquiry for you?
