Ok, so it's not that interactive yet. Time for a game. Can everyone leave three items in the comments section that I should pack with me. I'm sure I'm missing stuff. I'll get the ball rolling.
The rules:
- it can be as specific or general as you like*
- it has to be three items each. No more, no less.
- you can't say the same as someone else.
*However, saying "toothbrush" is a lot more useful than "toiletries".
9 comments:
1. passport
2. toothbrush
3. smart shoes
head bandage (ceilings and doorways very low)
Ear Plugs (for a little respite if the continual "noise" gets too much)
Tallow Candle (incase there is a power cut, or its edible in case of emergency)

What's your baggage limit? ;-)
• Chargers for all your electrical items
• Travel plug for plugging said chargers in
• A cuddly toy to remind you of home
This all seems far too practical. I feel I should have suggested something a bit 'edgier' (you know what I mean) but others reading this may not have approved...

Darling Philip,
Loved your blog! Its great to know I shall be able to keep up with all that you are doing in Japan - well, most of it anyway!
Having seen the pictures of the snow in Japan quite a few weeks ago, I suspect its now Spring there, which means Summer will soon follow, so please take some sunscreen. No doubt you've got an English/Japanese dictionary, but that would be my second suggestions. Don't laugh, but my third suggestion would be talcum powder to get sand off your feet!
How strange that none of the other people had learnt any Japanese! Well done you!
Will see you before you go, but meanwhile I send my love to you - Grandma Jean
My suggestions are:
1. Lucky cat
2. Special chopsticks (that you've been practising with)
3. Fantastic state of the art digital camera.
(after-thought) Lots of tea towels!
1)slippers
2)painkillers
3)favourite book or dvd
Matt said that penknife would be good idea! x
1 practical ~ a wind up torch
2 fun ~ an impossible puzzle, to keep you amused
3 useful-a box of melons with bows, for that unexpected present!
1. 3 x boxes of matzah
2. Chometz to burn
3. extra strong charoseth
