'The Beach' - Alex Garland - is my comfort book. I read it everywhere I go and it makes me feel better. An excellent book, although the movie sucked*, I own about 5 copies of it now. It's one of those books you can read and get something different from it every time. Everyone has one. But should I take it with me, to be my holiday book, in case I get to a beach?

It seems a little cliched and obvious.

I don't know.

*a horrible man with his bottle of water didn't help.
