I'm home safe and sound and no drug-smuggling prison experiences for me, although I was searched about 5 times!
I'm trying to write it up now, hanging my clothes out to dry, and getting ready for work tomorrow morning. The new guy also moved in. Tom, from Glasgow - very quiet but seems OK.
It was a great experience and I'll share it with you very soon. But for now, I'm dead to the world.

Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging.
I don't know if I was naive because I'd always assumed that animal noises were universal, but what do I know, hey. We were discussing that at my Japanese lesson the other day and it's strange how much it varies. We only really talked about English vs Japanese, but the sound a cockerel makes in Spanish is hilarious - I can't remember it but it's like a 'tril' or something.
Then again, 'cock-a-doodle-doo' is ridiculous when you think about it.
And trains here don't go 'choo choo'. They go 'yuu yuu'.
