When I was there it didn't matter what job anyone did they always wore white cotton gloves. We used to buy them in the shops in packs of 50 for next to nothing. They also used to wear face masks all the time but we never bothered with those because we didn't care who we gave our germs to.
ahh!! yes the gloves arent around but the masks are very much a fashion statement. they're pretty freaky - about 1 in 5 people on the trains wear them, but not so much now that hayfever season is over.
some lucky person whose birthday is approaching might be receiving one.
